Last Updated: 02/08/2010 Please note that your script will expire on February 28th, 2010. There will be NO EXTENSION because the club was open during the expansion and script was accepted at the temporary bar and our holiday barbeques. Script may be used at the bar, kitchen and GAC functions (Family Fun Nights, Senior Luncheons, New Year's Eve Dinner Dance). The Membership Committee has mailed out the 2010 renewal applications to all members. Return the complete renewal form and your payment check to the club by FEBRUARY 28th to maintain membership! Questions may be directed to the Membership Committee at (203)254-0673 or by email at membershipXXX@gaconline.org. (Don't forget to replace the XXX with gac before sending email) The Club is accepting applications for the positions of Club Manager and Permittee. Application forms may be obtained from the Executive Committee mailbox and must be submitted by February 28, 2010 for consideration. Féile is pleased to announce that they will be awarding three $1500.00 scholarships to high school seniors who will be attending college in 2010. Watch for details and applications which will be available from the guidance councelors at local high schools within the coming month. The Club now has a hostess on duty Wednesday through Sunday to facilitate seating in the Pub. If you are planning on having dinner, please give your name to the hostess when you arrive and she will make every effort to seat your party as soon as possible. Thanks to Ed Hagerty, the menu button previously labled "Expansion" has been renamed to "Photos". Clicking it will bring you to the GAC Photo Albums which include Expansion photos, New Year's Eve photos, and photos from the Grand Re-Opening & Dedication. Please send us any pictures you have so that we can continue to expand our albums. The State of Connecticut requires that all club members sign-in any and all non members they are bringing into the club. If you do not comply with this law, you are putting the club's liquor license in jeopardy and you are also jeopardizing your own membership. The sign-in book for non members is on the desk at the front entry. Although we have a group of dedicated volunteers on the Failte Committee that greet and assist people entering the club, it is not staffed at all times. More volunteers are needed. It is a great way for new members to meet people. If interested, contact Sue Allen. |
