Our Mission

To promote Social, Civic, and Cultural activities for and among persons who are Irish born and have immigrated to the United States and have become residents thereof, and/or persons who are of Irish descent and are residents of the United States.

Anyone born in Ireland and has emigrated to America and has been a local resident for less than a year can apply for immediate membership in the club.

Anyone else, Irish born or of Irish descent can apply for membership at any time during the year. Anyone applying for membership is automatically placed on our membership waiting list. Membership is open from March through September. If there are any openings, the new members are drawn from the waiting list.

The children of members can apply for individual membership when they turn 21.

This is the 60th Anniversary of the beginning of this club is 1948. It initially started small in someone's kitchen. Then grew to a rented clubhouse on Fairfield Avenue then to Goodsell Street in Bridgeport. Later it moved to space on the Post Road in Fairfield, before we built our own building at 74 Beach Road in Fairfield. To mark this Anniversary, if you have photographs, negatives(35mm) or slides of the good old days from the very beginning to present and all points in between would you be so kind to allow them to be posted on the website? If so notify Ed Hagerty by email or at the club.
